      •  Be entered in the correct category and be correctly identified.
      •  Include a complete and signed entry form and all entry fees.
      •  Conform to defined submission requirements.
      •  Conform to all copyright laws.

Late Fees-After February 6, 2010 $20.00 more per entry.

Student fees are $25/single or campaign entry.

All entries must be received in the Ad Club office by noon on February 12, 2010 to qualify for judging.

All Ad 2 San Diego members are also members of the San Diego Ad Club.  In addition, the San Diego Ad Club is pleased to extend the member fee to members of the following organizations:

Entry Submission Instructions:
Entries will not be mounted. Instead entries must be entered in clear plastic bags. Bags are available at the Ad Club office. It is not necessary to buy your own bags. The bag size is 13” x 18” and the entries must fit flat into this size bag.  The only exception is for posters and 3-D entries. If you have a poster or 3-D entry please bring it into the office so that we can evaluate the best possbile procedure for handling it. We try to take special care in handling these pieces.

Preparation of Entries:

1. You must submit two complete copies of the artwork in separate clear plastic envelopes. Each bag must include a copy of the artwork and an entry form. The entry form should show thru on one side and the artwork on the other. Each piece of artwork must have the entry number affixed to the back of the entry. Clear plastic envelopes can be picked up at the Ad Club office. In addition the Ad Club will also provide a piece of heavy card stock inside the bag to support your work. We require two identical entries in order for us to have an entry for display during the raid and judging, and a backup that can be easily forwarded to the district competition.

2. A JPG of each entry using the following file naming format: category_entry#_companyname.jpg The jpg. must be emailed by the entry deadline to addys@sandiegoadclub.com Note category should include the category number and letter for example 37b. Entry # should not include 15-02 only the unique entry #.

3. All entering companies should include a JPG of their corporate logo with their group of entries. This may also be emailed to addys@sandiegoadclub.com

4. Please review the AAF guidelines for broadcast (TV), audio visual (radio), computer presentations and internet entries if you are entering one of these categories at the end of the category list.

How to Enter Your Work into the Online Registration System
Go to http://www.omnicontests.com/addy/omnicontests/logon.cfm
As a new entrant choose either the professional category or the student category to set up your username and password. Then follow the simple drop down menus to enter your information. Review the category list to find where your work should compete, and make sure you credit the members of your creative team, so that they will be recognized properly in press releases and other San Diego Ad Club, Ad 2 San Diego and AAF winner publications. Submission of entries acknowledges the right to use them for publication, exhibition and marketing of the ADDY® show.

Forwarding of Winners
Only work that has won a Gold ADDY® or a Silver ADDY® in a local ADDY® competition will be eligible for entry into the District competitions. Only work that has won a Gold ADDY® or a Silver ADDY® in a District ADDY® competition will be eligible for entry into the National ADDY® competition.

Auto-Forwarding
If your entry wins a Gold ADDY® at the local show, it will be automatically forwarded to the district competition with fees paid by the local ad federation.  Should the entry win Gold again at District level, it will be forwarded to the national competition with fees paid by the District. 

If your entry is awarded a Silver ADDY® at the local or District level, you have won the right to compete at the next level of competition and may choose to pay the applicable entry fee in order to be forwarded. Make sure you check the “auto-forward” box during your online registration, indicating that you wish to be billed for the corresponding forwarding entry fees.  This will ensure your Silver entries are automatically forwarded to the next level of competition.

ADDY Checklist:

  • Gather best work from 2009
  • Register online and fill out online entry forms.
  • Make two complete sets of each entry. We’ll use one for The Raid and judging … then we’ll have a pristine copy for the Creative Show.
  • Avoid late fees! Drop off entries at the Ad Club office by Noon on February 5th!
  • Want to add more entries? Just go back online and access your account-remember to write down your password. Late deadline is February 12th (costs $20.00 more!)
  • Make sure each entry has the entry number affixed to the back
  • When dropping off entries remember to bring a printout of your manifest form and payment. (check or credit card)
  • Email jpg. of each entry plus company logo to addys@sandiegoadclub.com
